MS 136 TANZANIA 2019

This school year, the students of Middle School 136, Brooklyn, NY, will be traveling to Tanzania, Africa. It will be our most unique trip yet. Throughout our game drives we will be seeing many animals in their natural habitat. We will also be visiting the Maasai Tribe in their village, Olduvai Gorge, the Serengeti National Park, Serona Valley, the Ngorongoro Crater and so much more!

Our last stop is at the Ceramic Water Filtration Factory. Any kind of water can be filtered and turned into safe drinking water. MS 136 donated one to the local village.

The Ngorongoro Crater: we found black rhinos! Only 35 remain in Africa. We also found lions on our way to the crater, elephants, and a hyena that had just eaten.

Last full day in Tanzania. We’re on our way from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater to get a closer look at the animals living inside the caldera.

Our second day in the Serengeti. We saw buffalo, leopards, hippos, crocodiles, birds, elephants, topi, gazelles, wildebeests, and so much more. It was endless!
